SENIOR ENGINEER  (PROCUREMENT)

Responsibilities:

• Assist Head of Section to meet the Section’s operational objectives
• Strategic procurement of transmission development and network renewal projects, distribution network assets, sundry items and accessories
• Competitive procurement of general and common purchases for SP Group of Companies
• Timely procurement of maintenance-related and EHV cable diversion contracts, office renovation contracts, user requested purchase, etc
• Packaging of tender for volume and spend, adoption of appropriate procurement options, and strategize the timing of purchase to secure competitive prices
• Calling and evaluation of tenders/quotations and recommendations for awards
• Contract management of SDI contracts for distribution equipment
• Estimation of unit prices for project planning
• Adoption of appropriate initiatives in supplier management and development of methodologies to identify new suppliers
• Assist Head of Section in formulating of procurement related SOPs, contingency plans, etc

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering recognized by Professional Engineers Board Singapore
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement role
• Ability to discharge duty with complete fidelity, honesty and integrity
• Exercise due diligence in decision making
• Possess strong analytical ability, negotiation and communication skills
